The rich heritage of indigenous white berried grapes of the region does not end here. There are many other varieties that contribute to highlighting the uniqueness of Campania from the wine-growing point of view: just think of the Falanghina of the DOC Sannio, the Biancolella of the island of Ischia , or even the white Pallagrello of the Terre di Volturno , such as Caiatì by Michele Alois, 3 Gambero Rosso glasses in the 2014 vintage, grapes of great rarity and prestige.
All those wines made near Vesuvius , on volcanic soils of extraordinary fertility, deserve a separate mention, to the point of giving this part of the region the name of Campania Felix: among them, the Campi Flegrei IGT and the Lacryma Christi DOC , both characterized by a characteristic mineral component .
Authentic gem is then the Asprinio , grape variety cultivated with the technique of the "tree-lined vine", which can reach 15 meters in height. The wine obtained from this grape, characterized by a marked acidity, is the ideal combination of mozzarella-based dishes, such as pizza, caprese or mozzarella in a carriage .
