Tenuta Ulisse
Winery based in Crecchio, in the Teatino area, Tenuta Ulisse is one of the most prominent realities of the Abruzzo wine scene which is the bearer of a very specific mission: to enhance the indigenous vines of the region, highlighting the perceptible differences in the finished product that are the reflection of a variety of microclimates, exposures and soil composition that can be found in the extension of the vineyards of the estates, which stretch from the Majella massif to the Adriatic Sea. The tradition of these places meets with new technologies and avant-garde structures in order to produce wines characterized by a clear identity but with an immediate and modern profile, suitable for everyone .
Among the vines of Abruzzo origin, Montepulciano excels, of which we remember three successful expressions offered by Tenuta Ulisse: the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo of the classic line (95 pt. Luca Maroni), that of the "Nativae" line , which is characterized by a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts that better reflects the typicality of the territory, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo "Amaranta" coming from ancient vineyards of the Lanciano countryside, the area of choice for this variety, considered by Luca Maroni one of the best red wines of 2018, so as to obtain the highest possible score of the guide, the coveted 99 points , together with the new " 10 vintages Limited Edition" , blend of 10 great vintages of Montepulciano.
Excellent results, again for the guidance of Luca Maroni, for other wines of the classic Ulysses line, from 99 points of Merlot "Unico" , the best rosé in Italy, to 96 points of Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola .
