Tenuta l'Impostino

The Impostino takes its name from the ancient post office, called "imposed" , which stood in this place of passage between the Maremma and the Tuscan hinterland, where travelers stopped for the change of mounts, as well as to refresh themselves with a hot meal and a good glass of wine .

The estate is part of the Alta Maremma Toscana , within the Montecucco area , a recently rediscovered terroir that has aroused the attention and interest of wine critics. Its proximity to the renowned Brunello area in fact suggests a possible similarity in the characteristics of the wines produced there and recalls the curiosity of wine lovers for its favorable location in a fertile territory of ancient volcanic origin located between Mount Amiata and the Tyrrhenian Sea with its propitious currents.
