Trento DOC - Crisp sparkling wines from the mountains

Trentodoc can be considered a sparkling mountain wine that owes much of its charm to the vineyards at an altitude between 200 and 900 m above sea level. In addition, the climatic variation of Trentino helps to determine the character of Trentodoc: on one hand, the cold stream coming from the Dolomites and the mild temperatures of Lake Garda, on the other hand, the nocturnal temperature excursion typical of the mountains. Thus, the grapes develop a higher acidity and aromatic complexity.

A sparkling made with traditional method with more than a hundred years of history, which includes four grape varieties: Chardonnay, fresh and aromatic, Pinot Noir, prominent in terms of body, Pinot Blanc and Meunier.
It can be white or rosé, and the minimum length of permanence on lees must be at least 15 months, which extends to 24 for the Millesimato and 36 for the Riserva.

Trentodoc can also be classified according to dosage:

Pas Dosé: up to 3 grams of residual sugar per litre, without added sugars after second fermentation.
Extra Brut: the reduced amount of sugar is between 0 and 6 grams per litre.
Brut: between 6 and 12 grams of residual sugar per litre.
Extra Dry: from 12 to 17 grams of residual sugar per litre.
Dry, Sec: from 17 to 32 grams of residual sugar per liter.
Demi Sec: between 32 and 50 grams of residual sugar per litre.
