Sophie Baron
On the beautiful hills of the Marne, in Charly-sur-Marne, stand the vineyards of the famous Maison of Sophie Baron. The history of the company began in 1961, when Gabriel Baron and Dolorès Fuenté received a hectare of land under vine from Gabriel's father on the occasion of their marriage. This is how the Maison was born: today the estate covers over 40 hectares of vineyards, carried on with pride, dedication and a constant commitment to the pursuit of absolute quality by the second generation, with Sophie and Ignace. Over the years, the property has also expanded thanks to the other members of the family, but the pivot, the ambition, the greatest banner has always remained the same, the pursuit of excellence. An experimentation that you will find in labels of the calibre of Champagne Brut Grande Réserve (90 pts W.E.), a Champagne with an unmistakable olfactory profile all played out on notes of hazelnut, pear and white flowers, with a crisp sip. The Rosé Grande Réserve (90 pts W.E.) closes the range on a high note, with its cherry-pink colour and fine, elegant, lively bubbles. If you add to this that today you can find both at reduced prices, need we say more?
