San Felice

An innovative and experimental company , famous for having created the Vigorello, the first “Supertuscan” in 1968 , San Felice is unequivocally associated with the image of “Il Grigio”, one of the most successful Chianti Classico Reserves ever .

The Chianti estate, located in the territory of the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena, finds its maximum expression in the research and enhancement of native vines , above all the Pugnitello, which began already towards the end of the 1980s, in contrast with the trend of many producers of the time, who turned more towards international varieties to be used in their blends.

Today the wines of San Felice are pure expression of a territory that does not need to compromise: the quality Sangiovese produced on site, combined with the splendid native vineyards such as Pugnitello, rediscovered in San Felice after decades of oblivion and now the signature characterizing style of our wines.
