Produced from top quality cane sugar and pure water, with different distillation methods and supported by the solid experience of influential Maestro Roneros of the caliber of Tito Cordero, who dedicate themselves to the realization of these spirits with commitment and passion, Diplomático rums they are characterized by a unique style , a sophisticated set of complexity and refinement .

The Distillery has a long history behind it, founded in 1959 in Venuzuela by the international company LUSA, one of the main companies in the sector worldwide. In 2002 the activities of LUSA went on sale and the Diplomàtico brand was acquired by a group of Venezuelan entrepreneurs gathered under the initials Destilerías Unidas (DUSA). Today Diplomàtico Rum is known as one of the best excellences in the world and is exported to about sixty countries. The Distillery is located in a strategic position, at the foot of the Andes mountain range, close to sources of pure water and the best areas where sugar cane is grown. The climate, in terms of temperature and humidity, was also perfect for the aging of Rum.

The character depicted on Diplomático rum labels is Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez, the man who inspired the creation of these rums, remembered by the Venezuelan people as a great fan and collector of rum. It is said that he traveled around the world, without stopping, to go in search of the most prestigious rums with the most bewitching flavors, which would later become his special collection "Ambassador Reserves".

The high quality level of Diplomàtico Rum derives from a choice of high quality raw materials and the use of a very accurate and severe distillation process. At the 2013 Festival de Rhum in London, the Distillery received the "Rhum Barrel Award" in the category of the Best Distilleries in the World.

Diplomàtico Rum are famous for their refined elegance, combined with a great aromatic complexity. On their label is depicted Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez, a legendary man who narrates travel around the world in search of the best rums on the planet.

Ron de Venezuela DOC Diplomático Mantuano Extra Añejo

It is a label inspired by the legendary character of Don Juancho Nieto Meléndez. It comes from a skilful assembly of different Rums, aged for 8 years in oak barrels previously used for Bourbon or Whiskey. It is a gold-colored rum, which opens with notes of spices, dried fruit and vanilla. The sip is long and persistent. Excellent to drink straight, it can also be used as an ingredient for refined cocktails.

Ron de Venezuela DOC Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva

Rum Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is an assembly of various rums which is refined for at least 12 years before being put on the market. It is an amber Rum with a complex bouquet, with aromas of orange peel, sugar cane, oriental spices, vanilla, noble woods, cocoa and blond tobacco.

Perfect to taste straight or with dark chocolate.

Ron de Venezuela DOC Diplomático Ambassador Selection

The Ambassador Selection is a high-end distillate produced in a limited edition and made with a blend of over 60 fine rums. It ages for 12 years in oak barrels previously used for Bourbon and another 2 years in barrels used to refine Pedro Ximenez of Jerez. Amber in color with mahogany reflections, it is a Rum that seduces with its enveloping sip and the complexity of the aromas of dried fruit, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla and sweet spices.
