Domaine René Muré is synonymous with a winemaking tradition spanning over three hundred years of excellence in the heart of Alsace . From generation to generation, René and his children Veronique and Thomas carry on the family heritage as the eleventh and twelfth generation of the Muré family, at the head of a highly prestigious winery based in Rouffach, south of Colmar.

It all began in the 17th century, when the progenitor Michel settled in Rouffach to cultivate the vines, thus founding a dynasty of successful winemakers. In 1935, Alfred, René's grandfather, expanded his holdings by acquiring the Clos St. Landelin, a magnificent 12-hectare vineyard. With passion and dedication, Alfred rebuilds the characteristic dry stone walls and replants the terraces, transforming the Clos St. Landelin into a "Monopole" Cru belonging exclusively to the Muré family.

Domaine René Muré's corporate philosophy focuses on the organic and biodynamic management of the vineyards. With a plantation density of 10,000 vines per hectare and the use of simple or double Guyot training systems, the wine yield is limited to only 30-45 hl per hectare. These particular attentions allow you to maintain the health of the land and preserve the fauna, flora and biodiversity of the area.

The result is a harmony that manifests itself with joyful expressiveness in the company's unique wines , such as the Riesling Signature , which is expressed on the nose with notes of lemon, peony and cardamom, with slight hints of cloves. On the palate it faithfully restores the varietal characteristics of Riesling, with subtle citrine notes that play on a refreshing minerality. Or the Gewürztraminer Signature , with beautiful exotic hints of lychee and gingerbread, enriched with floral notes of rose petals. In the mouth it has a dry and full-bodied flavor of refined elegance.

Finally, the flagship of the production, the Crémant d'Alsace Cuvée Prestige , the result of a singular blend of Pinot Bianco, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero and Riesling grapes. The vinification takes place in wood, with maturation of 12 months. The cuvée that will undergo the second fermentation will be the result of the union of wines from previous years added to the most recent one, in a process that recalls the Solera method in principle. This Crémant remains aged for 18 months in which the nobility of the wine is fully defined. In the glass it produces a refined mousse with persistent bubbles. It has a fresh, elegant, sometimes vinous nose, with notes of lemon that creep into a rich apple bouquet. On the palate it is lively and flowing, of great finesse and beautiful persistence.

Discover Alsace through the wines of Domaine René Muré and live a timeless wine experience, made of authenticity and harmony .
