Prince Stirbey
Romania is counted among the major wine producers in Europe and the world, with a tradition of over 4000 years. In recent years, there has been further growth in quality terms, also thanks to the know-how of the main world producing countries such as Italy and France imported locally, making Romania an emerging country of sure interest . Among these, one of the prominent realities of oenological Romania is the noble Prince Stirbey, the result of the cooperation of Baroness Ileana Costinescu with Baron von Kripp of the South Tyrolean company Stachlburg.
Located at the foot of the Transylvanian Alps, in the historic wine-growing region of Dragasani, in the valley of the Olt river, Prince Stirby pursues a production philosophy oriented towards the enhancement of its native vines in order to highlight the unique characteristics of each variety. Among these we find, for example, the Tamaioasa Romaneasca , a distant relative of the Italian muscat, whose character and personality can be found, of which the company offers an exclusive dry vinified version.
