Piccini: a family that has been working the vine since as far back as 1882, on a small estate that at the time had little more than 7 hectares of vineyards, now boasts a property that extends over four estates. Thanks to the work in the vineyard of skilful hands for four generations, with courage and pride for their land, passion for authenticity and product quality, 'Tenute Piccini' has become one of the best known and most renowned names in Tuscany. When the family itself declares that everything they do in the present is 'both for the past and the future', it certainly implies great quality and a modern interpretation of Tuscan wine. Proof of this is the Chianti Riserva 'Collezione Oro', which emanates a host of red fruit aromas that sinuously open up towards sensations of vanilla. Made from the best grapes of Sangiovese (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), it is warm and velvety on the palate, with pleasant soft tannins.
