Monteverro

The Monteverro estate was born in 2003, at the foot of the picturesque village of Capalbio, in the Maremma area south of Tuscany. The two founders, Georg and Julia Weber, originally from Monaco, had two objectives: to produce great wines that could compete with the prestigious French wines and to demonstrate the vocation of the Capalbio terroir for Chardonnay and Syrah. The result? Extraordinary wines that, thanks to the manual and careful collection and selection of the grapes, give us the opportunity to interpret the exceptional terroir of origin at each sip.

The vines, mainly Chardonnay, Syrah, Vermentino and other red berried varieties such as Merlot or Cabernet Franc, enjoy an ideal soil and climate condition: the excellent hilly position, the proximity to the sea which guarantees beneficial ventilation throughout the year and the hot days that alternate with the cool night climate, have always contributed to producing real "total works of art, to be enjoyed with all your senses" making Monteverro a winery of excellence in Tuscany.

Personality of great prominence in the history and current affairs of Monteverro, the great world-renowned oenologist Michel Rolland has always guided the winery, the perfect expression of innovative technology with the utmost respect for the environment.
