The silhouette of the Castello di Fonterutoli stands out gloriously a few kilometers from Castellina in Chianti, to tell us the story of a winery, Mazzei, which can boast a six hundred year old wine history . Here time seems to stand still, preserving the charm of the Middle Ages and telling the story of the Marquises Mazzei, originating in these areas since 1500. A family that, today as yesterday, continues the legacy of its knowledge, making wines renowned worldwide , which impose themselves as real reference points not only within the Chianti Classico production terroir, but also in those areas, the Tuscan Maremma and Sicily, where new estates have recently been purchased.

Lands to say the least exceptional , characterized by different subsoils , which strongly influence the final result of what flows in the glass. Among the rows of the estates we always look at the enhancement of indigenous vines, true expression of the territory, always cultivated according to an agriculture that aims at sustainability, respecting biodiversity and hydrogeological balance. A responsible philosophy, which gives life to a truly varied range of labels between Chianti, Maremma and Sicily. Unique bottles are those designed by Mazzei, projected into the future, always drawing inspiration from what the 24 generations of the family have built up to now .
