Grappa "Le Diciotto Lune" is one of the best excellences of the art of the great Italian spirits. It is produced in Nogaredo, in the province of Trento, by the Marzadro distillery. It represents the last chapter of a long history, which begins after the Second World War thanks to the intuition and tenacity of a young woman. Like so many girls from a region as poor as Trentino at the time, Sabina Marzadro worked in the service of a deputy in Rome. Once she returned to Trentino, she decided to undertake an artisan activity linked to the distillation of the marc of the local cellars. With a small direct fire alembic still , Sabina began to produce quality grappa to be sold in the premises of the Trento and Rovereto area. In the 1960s a new distillery was built and in the early 1970s the new bain-marie stills arrived, which allow you to precisely control the temperature and obtain superior quality spirits. From the pioneering beginnings to today, many years have passed and many generations have followed, but the passion and desire to produce a quality Grappa has always remained the only corporate objective. Despite the size of the company, Marzadro has always maintained the approach and craftsmanship that have made it famous from the beginning. As a seal of a qualitative growth process, in 2002 a new label was born: Le Diciotto Lune .

A grappa that comes from a careful selection of the best Trentino marc, coming only from noble vines: Marzemino, Teroldego, Merlot, Moscato and Chardonnay, still fresh and fragrant distillates in a discontinuous bain-marie still. Once the long distillation process is over, the precious grappa is left to mature for at least 18 months in small barrels of Cherry, Ash, Oak and Robinia. Each essence gives particular scents and aromas, which contribute to enrich the distillate with a multifaceted, complex and elegant aromatic range. It is an aged grappa with an amber color, which expresses a bouquet characterized by intense aromas, reminiscent of ripe fruit, raisins and hints of noble woods. The sip is soft and harmonious, with a warm and persuasive entrance to the palate, which relaxes with deep and articulated aromas of great expressive finesse and extraordinary taste elegance. The finish is balanced and very persistent. "The Eighteen Moons" is a grappa aged by true connoisseurs, dedicated to the great fans of this historic distillate, who are looking for absolute purity and excellence, without compromise.
