Lagavulin Distillery is located on the South coast of the Scottish Isle of Islay, in Port Ellen , near the renowned Dunvvaig Castle. It is said that the same area, since 1742, had hosted numerous clandestine producers of spirits and that from 1816 it had become the home of the first legal distillery , Kildalton.

Today, the company is in the hands of James Logan Mackie, grandson of the founder of the "White Horse" distillery , who with love and dedication carries on the tradition of one of the most appreciated and recognized Single Malts in the world . Among these, the Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Aged 8 Years , complex and intriguing with notes of black pepper and lemon, followed by toasted and smoky hints of wet wood that make it perfect smooth. Also worth tasting is Aged 16 Years (95 pt Wine Enthusiast) , the purest symbol of Scotland in a single malt whiskey. La-ga-vù-lin in Gaelic, Lagavulin for the world: it is the culmination of a journey through time , which lasts 16 years and takes place in oak barrels, to offer the palate the best possible experience.
