The adventure of the Gottardi winery began in 1986 with 6 hectares of vineyards. Since 1995, after having planted the varieties again and modernized the cellar, the expected results have arrived after so much initiative and dedication. The Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer varieties have also been added to Pinot Nero since 2009. The commitment in the production of high quality Pinot Noir has continued since 2010 with great attention to impeccable results and capable of fully enhancing the grape variety.

The Pinot Nero Selection Alexander by Gottardi was born in vineyards located in Mazzon, a Bolzano hamlet of Egna, in Bassa Atesina.

It is produced with pure Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. The grapes are destemmed and pressed, and then sent to ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 8-10 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in oak barriques and 8 months in large barrels, before being bottled.
