While it is true that certain taste experiences hide a true passion for discovery and travel, some remote places often remain inaccessible. This is the case of the city of Ophir from which King Solomon received gold, silver and spices. Despite the mystery, the continuous trades of the time have established a real 'spice route' between East and West and marked the destiny of Gin Opihr which pays homage to this ancient tradition in a versatile and unique distillate . In memory of the long and tiring journeys of merchants in search of herbs and spices to trade, Opihr celebrates the indefatigable passion for distant worlds and the dream of spreading knowledge and encounter by gathering the many voices of distant places in a distillate.

A selection of herbs rigorously hand-picked and blended by Opihr's Master Distiller, including Java pepper, black pepper from India and coriander from Morocco. Still angelica from Germany, juniper from Italy, cumin from Turkey and orange peel from Spain for a journey that ends in one of the oldest distilleries in England: here the botanicals meet a very fine distillate to free themselves in a rich and robust Gin , with a touching scent of lemon, dusty notes of cumin and cardamom . An aromatic appearance well balanced by grapefruit peel and enhanced by a sweet taste of very persistent oriental spices.
