Fattoria dei Barbi

Located in the beautiful hills of Montalcino, Fattoria dei Barbi produces great Tuscan wines that boast an enviable string of award-winning wines. It was the first Montalcino winery to export bottled wines to France, to sell Brunello by mail order (1931) and to export it overseas, turning Brunello into a mass phenomenon.

Among the best known and best loved wines is the now unmissable Brunello di Montalcino 'Etichetta Blu' (93 pts. Wine Spectator), with its unmistakable blue label bearing the coat of arms of the ancient Colombini family. However, equally noteworthy is the Rosso di Montalcino (91 pts. Wine Enthusiast), which has the same characteristics as the Brunello, but in a more youthful and disengaged version. It is made from the same type of Sangiovese grapes, but from younger vineyards, giving the wine perfumed notes and extreme elegance, despite being less tannic and full-bodied than Brunello wine. Rosso di Montalcino DOC Fattoria dei Barbi is the ideal wine for those who want to enjoy the pleasure of a good glass every single day.
