Fabiano - The historic wine label of Valpolicella

A story that began in the early 1900s , that of the Fabiano winery , when the two founders, Francesco and his son Sergio began to sell their wines in the city of Venice. But it was in the 1950s that, with great flair and entrepreneurial spirit, the two Venetians moved to Verona, where they bought a cellar in Sona. And it was an immediate success: today, Fabiano is a name known all over the world thanks also to its century of history, but above all to its premium wines, Amarone and Ripasso. All the most prestigious Fabiano production, which includes the iconic Amarone Classico "Etichetta Storica" (92 pt Maroni) made from Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Croatina grapes, subjected to a drying period of about 5 months. A wine with a decisive touch, intense aromas of sour cherries and raspberries, it is soft and balanced, with a good structure, with a long finish and notes of raisins and plums.

Then there is the historic Amarone Riserva I fondatori, also perfect for long ageing, and the Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore Etichetta Storica (93 pts. Maroni), with an elegant and decisive olfactory bouquet of wild violet, ripe cherry and black raspberry, joined by spicy hints resulting from long barrel ageing, with a full-bodied flavour and a long, well-balanced finish.
