Designed by the famous Charles Doig, Craigellachie was built in 1891 by a consortium led by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie. The single malts of the distillery are characterized by their full - bodied and robust style, particular and inimitable: only in the finish do they indulge towards a sweet note of caramelized pineapple .
