Augier
Founded in 1643 by a wine merchant, Augier is the oldest of the Cognac houses. Its history is that of a futuristic company that has enhanced the terroir and grapes of the Cognac region. Augier's motto is: "Look for typicality, cultivate terroirs and grapes, create unique Cognacs." Filtration does not use refrigeration and the whole production process takes place without the addition of external agents, additives or substances chemicals that they are.
This is how sincere and peculiar Cognacs are born, with a traditional distillation method and a deep respect for the land. Such as Le Sauvage (95 pt WE), a blend of excellent spirits made from Ugni Blanc grapes, coming exclusively from the cru of Cognac Petit Champagne. But it is perhaps with L'Océanique, a blend of sun spirits based on Ugni Blanc from the terroir of Bois Ordreires, on the island of Oléron, that the distillery expresses its best. A Cognac in which, with each sip, it is possible to perceive all the maritime influence of the area of origin, recognizable for its mineral and iodized character. Liqueurs that warm the soul.
