Charles Ellner
Charles Ellner is a small Champagne house in Epernay, the true capital of the Champagne region.
The Ellner family has been involved in viticulture for over a century and has handed down the culture and ancient savoir-faire from generation to generation, right up to the present day.
The vineyards cover a total area of around 50 hectares, divided into many plots, which are located in different areas of the Champagne region: Côtes d'Epernay, Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Côte de Sézanne, Vallée de la Marne and Bar sur Aubois. The presence of vineyards cultivated in areas with different microclimates and soils makes it possible to have a wide range of vins clairs with different characteristics. Each parcel is selected and assembled by the Chef de Cave for the creation of the various labels in the Maison's vast range.
A richness that allows harmonious and balanced cuvées to be created each year.
The possibility of having vineyards in all areas of Champagne therefore guarantees that pinot noir, meunier and chardonnay can be cultivated in the historically most suitable locations.
A guarantee to have grapes that are not only of excellent quality, but also perfectly ripe, aromatically rich and endowed with a high dose of acidity, crucial for Champenoise method.
Champagnes such as the Brut Grande Réserve (92 pts WE) and Brut Carte Blanche (91 pts WS) are synonymous with elegance and versatility, perfect with a wide variety of dishes, as is the Premier Cru (93 pts WE) and finally the surprising Pas Dosé Integral (90 pts WS), a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Ellner Champagnes are the pure expression of a classic style, capable of narrating a territory and its history in a glass.
