Ca' Viola was born from years of hard work. Beppe Caviola first ventured into the world of winemaking back in 1991, when his knowledge and extensive experience in the oenological field convinced him to bottle his first Dolcetto, before moving into Barolo in 2005. Between offering wine consulting services and buying a nineteenth-century villa in Dogliani, Ca' Viola was soon able to integrate hospitality with wine production, always driven by the land and the voices of the people who live there. Ca' Viola's best wines are rooted in this long relationship, including the Barolo Sottocastello di Novello (95 pt JS), rich and dense with hints of chocolate and tobacco, and the Dolcetto d'Alba Barturot (92 pt JS), distinctive and charming with potent fruity aromas. The Langhe Nebbiolo Giblin is equally memorable and intense, boasting a complex nose with notes of undergrowth and damp earth. The success of these wines has reinforced Ca' Viola's belief that wine allows us to listen to the land, and that the future is always studded with new and unexpected challenges.
