Antico Borgo dei Colli
Antico Borgo dei Colli was born with the oenological objective of offering customers modern wines, in terms of freshness and easy to drink, but with profound respect for the territory.
The location of the vineyards in the Judrio valley (on the border with the Italian and Slovenian Collio) allows for a cool and breezy microclimate, with significant temperature changes that occur especially in the summer season, close to the harvest. The proximity of the mountains to the north and the sea to the south allows for almost constant ventilation. The soil is characterized by the presence of Eocene marl (here called ponca), which gives the wines important sapidity, persistence, character and structure.
The Antico Borgo dei Colli wines are the expression of a unique terroir, with whites of great freshness and harmony such as Pinot Grigio and Traminer Aromatico and reds with character such as Merlot and the very interesting Schioppettino di Prepotto .
