The history of the winery begins in 1879 when Filippo Ruini, an Italian emigrant, leaves his country of origin to go to cultivate the land in Argentina. A century later, at the beginning of the 2000s , Ricardo Reina Rutini, the last descendant of the family, was approached by a friend, who would propose an ambitious project to relaunch the cellar : it was the American tycoon Herman W. Lay, founder of the Lay's potato company. Thus was born Andeluna, whose name pays homage to the mountains that man cultivates to obtain its most perfect fruits and to the celestial body, a source of inspiration and magic to produce great wines.

The vineyards of the estate, with their " vines that touch the sky" , are located at 1300 meters above sea level and enjoy a particularly optimal microclimatic exposure, which allows the production of wines with great personality, where freshness predominates and the mineral character typical of the soil of origin. The wines of this region, the freshest area of Mendoza , are distinguished in particular by the intensity of the color, the aromatic expression and the extraordinary taste aromas, so much so that they are recognized worldwide, thanks also to the collaboration of the well-known French winemaker Michel Rolland , who brings modern procedures to be implemented in the winemaking phase in the cellar.

Among these labels, the Tupungato Malbec Altitud stands out, awarded in the current year by the critic James Suckling with 92 points out of 100 and with 90 points out of 100 from the well-known international magazines Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, in 2013.
