Nigl, Austria
The Nigl company is located near the town of Krems an der Donau, around a terroir suited to wine production and made famous by the terraced vineyards that characterize these splendid hills. Krems is a terroir very similar to that of the more famous and nearby DAC Wachau and without having anything to envy to this, it produces wines of the highest quality, such as those of Nigl. The varieties grown by the company in addition to Grüner Veltliner and Riesling are Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller, Blauer Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Merlot. But they are probably the first two varieties that produce the best results of the company, interesting and elegant wines, which are the real expression of the terroir of Krems.
