The Le Chiuse farm, with very ancient origins, is located in the splendid setting of the Montalcino hills, in the province of Siena. The company vineyards are cultivated according to the dictates of organic farming, without the use of substances harmful to the environment, in full respect of the territory and its characteristics. To obtain grapes and fine wines, Le Chiuse is based on a low production per hectare, obtained by thinning out rigorously by hand. This is one of the reasons, in addition to a skilful work in the cellar, why its wines are sought after for their typicality and tradition and exported and appreciated all over the world for their constant quality and longevity.
Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2023 Le Chiuse
The Rosso di Montalcino of Cantina Le Chiuse is born in vineyards located in one of the most renowned estates in Montalcino. The 8.2 hectares of vineyards follow organic farming.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested only by hand during the second week of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 29 ° C for 18 days. Subsequently the wine is aged in French and Slavonian oak barrels (20 hl) for 6 months, before being bottled.
