Garofoli, Lacrima di Morro d'Alba
Garofoli is the oldest winery in the Marche region, whose origins date back to the end of the 1800s. Since then, the company has seen strong development and strong growth, both from a production and commercial point of view, establishing itself as a reference point for wine production in this area. The history of Garofoli is closely linked to that of the family which for the past 5 generations has dedicated itself with passion and commitment to viticulture, with the same philosophy: constant updating of production techniques, combined with great respect for the traditional and historical systems of making wine ; attention to market evolutions, but great fidelity to the characteristics and peculiarities of the territory.
Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC appellation is an excellence of the Marche, which was born in a small area in the province of Ancona. The production area is limited to the municipalities of Belvedere Ostrense, Monte S. Vito, Morro d'Alba, Ostra, S. Marcello and Senigallia. As for the ampelographic base, also for the upper and passito versions, the specification requires the use of a minimum of 85% of tear, with a possible balance of up to 15% of other red berried grapes authorized in the Marche.
Lacrima di Morro d'Alba DOC is a wine of ancient traditions, which is produced exclusively in the Marche region with the autochthonous grape variety of the same name. Its characteristics are very particular. It is a delicate and gentle red, with a bouquet with floral aromas, a harmonious and balanced sip, with light tannins and pleasant freshness.
