Willm
The story of Willm begins in the small town of the French department of the Bas-Rhin of Barr, here in 1896 the Willm family created their estate, in the heart of the Grand Cru Kirchberg de Barr. In a region that benefits from a dry and sunny microclimate, with an absolutely typical clayey-calcareous terroir, a maison has evolved that today is one of the leading brands among Alsatian producers, with an evident preference for the probably most significant grape this terroir, the Gewürztraminer.
From the 3 hectares of Clos Gaensbrœnnel vineyards are born Gewürztraminer which are true classics, among the best known and appreciated wines of this variety. The company, which still cultivates other varieties such as Pinot Bianco and Grigio, Riesling and Sylvaner, has distinguished itself over the course of its century of history especially for late harvests and the prestigious Sélection de Grains Nobles of the Gewürztraminer, where only the best vintages are selected for the production of a wine that represents the absolute excellence of the Alsatian terroir.
