Williams & Humbert
1877 is the year in which Sir Alexander Williams, an admirer and expert connoisseur of sherry, founded the bodega Williams & Humbert. Along with other Jerez bodegas, his helped to give life to the Brandy de Jerez appellation, the Spanish brandy par excellence, aged exclusively with the Criaderas y Solera Method, or simply Solera. The entry into the production department of the oenologist Paola Medina, one of the best in Spain for the Decanter magazine, was fundamental, and she is considered a symbol of the so-called Sherry Revolution as she brings a modern and creative vision to a solid tradition.
