Vite Colte
Vite Colte wines tell the story of Langhe viticulture in Piedmont. With over 300 hectares of vineyards spread over the hills of Barolo and the gentle slopes of Barbaresco , Gavi, Monferrato and Moscato d'Asti, Vite Colte produces its wines following the firm principle of quality and respect for the environment. The vineyards, managed according to the SQNPI standard of integrated pest management and partly organically run, produce excellent grapes, harvested by hand on a carefully chosen date each year. The Vite Colte winery was inaugurated in 2000 and is considered an icon of modern architecture, thanks to its perfect combination of traditional materials, such as laminated wood, with new technologies. The architectural project of the winery, created by the architect Gianni Arnaudo, was so appreciated that it received the Dedalo-Minosse international architecture award in 2006 and was presented in several exhibitions. The company produces a wide range of wines, all DOC or DOCG, ranging from Barolo to Barbaresco, Barbera d'Asti and many others, such as white wines made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon grapes .

And again: all the wines that originate from the Barbera grape, such as Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore, Nizza DOCG, Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore. What are the characteristics of Nebbiolo grown by Vite Colte?
Nebbiolo is one of the most important grape varieties of Vite Colte, from which excellent Barolo and Barbaresco wines, but also Langhe Nebbiolo and Nebbiolo d'Alba are obtained. Nebbiolo grapes are concentrated in the Langhe area, in particular in Barolo and Barbaresco, because only here are they able to express themselves in all their depth. Wines such as those of the Barolo Essenze line, in particular those based on Nebbiolo vines grown exclusively in the municipalities of Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba or Monforte d'Alba, open to the nose with an intense and complex aroma, while they differ for body and structure. Among these, the Essenze Barolo del Comune di Barolo DOCG is an elegant wine, with great body and structure, which closes with a strong balsamic note. Over the years, it has received several awards and recognitions, such as the Cinque Grappoli Bibenda 2021 for the 2016 vintage. Excellent Barbaresco grapes are also obtained from Nebbiolo grapes, such as the Vite Colte Barbaresco DOCG La Casa in Collina, a ruby red wine with a tendency with garnet. It comes from grapes from areas with various microclimates, left to ferment for 20 days in steel, before malolactic fermentation. The refinement takes place first in oak barrels for 12 months and then in the bottle for another 12 months. The scent with notes of blueberries and blackberries, tobacco and coffee and the intense and slightly sour flavor make it unmistakable. Both the Essenze Barolo from the Municipality of Barolo DOCG and the Vite Colte Barbaresco DOCG La Casa in Collina are available on Vino.com!
