Valdo's history coincides with that of the Bolla family which has always intertwined passion and entrepreneurial skills. For three generations now Prosecco has been the product that represents it and that enhances the noble expression of Valdobbiadene. The first steps of this adventurous story date back to 1883, the year in which Abele Bolla, owner of an inn located in Soave, realizes that he has to produce still wines to supply the venues in Venice and Milan. Already in 1926 the 'Società Anonima Vini Superiori' was created by some local entrepreneurs interested in the sparkling wine making of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Cartizze which Sergio Bolla acquired in 1938 before finally changing its name in 1941. From that year the reference for Prosecco will be called Valdo and will represent the example for a successful wine business that will culminate in the famous Prosecco Marca Oro of 1958. Every step taken from that point on will be the result of constant collaboration with all the ambassadors of Made in Italy, proud of to represent Italy in the world through the name Valdo. Sustainability is pursued by the company in the direction of people and the environment: virtuous practices of belonging to local communities and a strong commitment to safeguarding the territory constitute for Valdo a goal to be achieved on a daily basis. Cantine Valdo interpret the full expressiveness of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene territory recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site, coordinating the work of 70 winemakers who give the grapes to the cellar. Thanks to mutual trust and constant monitoring of resources, Valdo can thus intervene in all phases of the production process.

Prosecco Valdo is a historical expression of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene territory. To date, 556 Municipalities are recognized in the production of Prosecco, 15 of which are authorized for the production of Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG and the Municipality of Cartizze alone for the production of Prosecco Cartizze DOCG placed at the top of the qualitative pyramid. The wide range of Valdo includes Prosecco of various types made from different areas and in particular Prosecco Superiore DOCG from the areas of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze.
