Taittinger
Founded in Reims in 1932 by Pierre Taittinger, who took over an already established wine business, Taittinger is today a leading name in the Champagne region. The Maison can count on 288 hectares of vineyards, scattered over 34 different crus , which cover 50% of the production, completed by a further 50% of grapes purchased from carefully selected winemakers. Always distinguished by the wise use of Chardonnay grapes, which cover about 37% of the vineyards, the Maison created in 1952, thanks to Francois Taittinger, the first "Cuvée de Prestige", produced with the best Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs, the legendary "Comtes de Champagne", one of perhaps the most successful experiments of Champagne Blanc de Blancs.
