Segura Viudas
Segura Viudas is the name of a family with a thousand-year history in Catalonia, which decided to produce wine and focus in particular on the native vines of the territory, Maccabeo, Parellada and Xarel-lo, when it took possession of the land belonging to the monastery of Sant Cugat in 11th century. In this corner of Spain, and precisely on the estate (or “heredad”) surrounded by the masie, the characteristic Catalan rural houses, one of the best, most awarded and most successful Cava in the world is produced. The Class Method revisited in the Catalan style. Today Segura Viudas operates under the wing of Freixenet, the emblematic name of the Cava DO sparkling wines.
