Seedlip
Seedlip is an innovative project born from the desire of Ben Branson to propose high quality non-alcoholic alternatives capable of changing the way of drinking spirits and solving the dilemma of "what to drink when you can't drink". Ben owes his passion for distillation to reading the book "The Art of Distillation" by John French, one of the doctors who used to distill their herbal remedies in copper stills. So he decided to buy a small pot still and to start an experiment using the roots and herbs that grew in his garden. After years of research together with expert distillers and botanists, Ben gave birth to the first non-alcoholic distillate in the world. The production process lasts about 6 months and each botanical is processed separately in order to respect the specific maceration times and its own distillation temperatures.
Among the objectives of Ben Branson there is also that of giving continuity to the family agricultural tradition, clearly evident from the choice of the name: seedlip is in fact the term used to identify the baskets used by his family to sift the seeds of the plants from them. cultivated, many of which are still the basic ingredients of these non-alcoholic spirits today. The success obtained by Seedlip was such as to arouse the interest of the giant of spirits Diageo which became the majority shareholder of the company.
