Saint Clair
The story of Saint Clair stems from Neal and Judy Ibbotson, who decided to open their business as true pioneers in 1978 in Marlborough, in the New Zealand terroir at that time still to be discovered. Initially the company produced grapes exclusively to supply them to local companies, but in 1994 the need to bottle their own labels pushes the family to create the "Saint Clair Family Estate", which since its first production has enjoyed the common success of enthusiasts and critics. The company, which today spans six vineyards at different sites in Marlborough, has decided to focus on a very varied range of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, Merlot, Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc, the true master of the Marlborough terroir, which here reaches one of its best expressions ever. And it is thanks to Sauvignon that the company has made itself known in the world, thanks to the peculiarities of this majestic territory and the particularly favorable climate, which translate into wines of great quality and authenticity.
