It was 1877 when two cousins, Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino, realized their common dream of creating great wines by founding a small winery in Pontassieve, just outside Florence. Since then, Ruffino's fame has grown rapidly, establishing himself definitively both nationally and internationally thanks to the numerous prizes and awards he won towards the end of the nineteenth century.
Today, more than a century after its foundation, Ruffino owns 6 estates located in areas with a high wine vocation (Chianti, Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino) and continues to express, through each bottle, the history and tradition of the Tuscan territory.
