Roberto Voerzio
The Roberto Voerzio winery has stood out for over thirty years for its high quality red wines, the highest expression of the Langhe terroir. Its history begins in 1986 in La Morra, in the province of Cuneo, a town renowned for its long winemaking tradition, so much so that some of its vineyards bear the same name since 1350. The family-run Roberto Voerzio company has inherited this tradition and strengthened it by cultivating its vineyards in a completely sustainable way, without the use of chemicals or substances that could impact the vegetative cycle of the plants. The same principle is adopted in the cellar, where fermentation occurs spontaneously and the use of all those substances that would modify the natural characteristics of the wine, such as its color or aroma, is prohibited. In this way we obtain fine wines, with a high aging potential, which have made this family-run company a point of reference for wine lovers all over the world.
Roberto Voerzio white wine
The Roberto Voerzio winery does not produce white wine, but is renowned for its high quality reds. The area of La Morra is in fact particularly suited to the cultivation of red berried grapes and hosts the vineyards of Nebbiolo , Merlot , Barbera and Dolcetto from which the precious Roberto Voerzio wines are born. The winegrowers of the company, after each harvest, fertilize the land with natural products such as humus, in full respect of the needs of each plant. With a very low yield, the grapes they obtain are of excellent quality and are vinified in such a way as to enhance their natural characteristics: not surprisingly, no wine is filtered. All Roberto Voerzio wines, from Barolo , to Barbera D'Alba to Dolcetto, see their original qualities further improve as they age.
What are the characteristics of Dolcetto Roberto Voerzio?
The Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Priavino Roberto Voerzio comes from pure Dolcetto grapes from the various plots of the company. The harvest, which takes place in mid-September, is followed by malolactic fermentation in steel and aging for 10 months. The wine obtained opens on the nose with hints of cherry, plum and berries. In the mouth it is full, with a complex tannic texture, ideal to combine with meat-based first courses or roasts, but also with stewed meats. It is available on Vino.com!
What are the characteristics of Roberto Voerzio Nebbiolo?
The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Disanfrancesco Roberto Voerzio originates from the vineyard of San Francesco Fontanazza, in the municipality of La Morra, from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. After the grape harvest at the end of September, fermentation takes place in steel barrels. Aging in wood for 12 months and a further 8 months in steel follows. The Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Disanfrancesco stands out for its bright ruby red color and for its aromatic and fruity scent. In the mouth it is fresh and full-bodied, to be tried in combination with stewed meats, or even with mushroom risotto.
What are the characteristics of Roberto Voerzio Barbera d'Alba?
The Barbera d'Alba wines produced by the Roberto Voerzio company are born from 100% Barbera grapes, harvested manually between the middle and the end of September. After fermentation in steel, the wine matures in oak barrels for 12 months, to conclude the refinement in steel. Thus were born the Pozzo Annunziata Barbera d'Alba DOC and Il Cerreto Barbera d'Alba DOC. The latter, available on Vino.com, opens on the nose with a scent of cherry and blackberry. On the palate it is fresh and persistent, with a discreet tannic texture.
