Quinta do Noval
Quinta do Noval is a legendary winery from Porto, founded in 1715 in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the charming Douro Valley. Various pioneering facts are attested to the company, testifying to the importance it has assumed over time in the production of the famous fortified wine: the creation of Porto LBV (Late Bottled Vintage), which is bottled 2 years later than the traditional Porto, or even the first indications of the average aging of the blend destined for Porto Tawny. From the evocative socalcos - the sloping terraces typical of the region's viticulture - the grapes of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Cao are born and develop, from which the most famous and celebrated Ports of the whole genre, real jewels for collectors from all over the world, often cited in the scores of critics of the caliber of Robert Parker as real top of the range.
