Parent
In the beating heart of the Côte d'Or, immersed in the prestigious terroir of Pommard, stands the Domaine Parent, with a winemaking heritage that boasts 12 generations. Founded on values such as the pursuit of excellence and harmony with nature, Parent celebrates the intimate connection between man and the earth. The dedication of this historic domaine translates into the production of wines of rare finesse, which are a true mirror of the Burgundy climats. Anne and Catherine Parent, the sisters now at the helm of the estate, continue their passion for biodynamics and are inspired by the meticulous approach of their father, Jacques Parent, and his technical precision. Anne is a fervent supporter of organic and biodynamic cultivation, adopting practices such as the lunar calendar, rigorous sorting of the grapes and entirely manual harvesting, respecting the natural cycles of the terroir at each harvest. Catherine, for her part, is fascinated by the uniqueness of Burgundy's climats, each capable of expressing its distinctive character.
The Domaine Parent terroir enjoys a favorable south-east exposure on clay-limestone soils and marly slopes. Here, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay find the ideal environment to express all their nobility and refinement. In particular, Pinot Noir achieves a perfect balance in Domaine Parent's climats, including some of the most famous of the Côte de Beaune, such as Corton Grand Cru, Pommard Les Epenots 1er Cru and Pommard Les Chaponnières 1er Cru. Pommard, the Domaine's chosen area, is renowned for its "virile" and wild wine. Domaine Parent offers a refined and discreetly sophisticated interpretation of this wine, while managing to express the power of its fruit, without compromise.
