Olivier Leflaive
It is a family story that of the Olivier Leflaive company, which was born from Josepeh Leflaive in the immediate post-war period and handed down to his son Olivier, who decides to build a winemaking plant on the family farm. The idea of Olivier, not having vineyards in the most important appellations of Burgundy, was to buy the grapes to then vinify in the cellar of the property, according to the methods of the family's domaine. From the early 1980s the production of Leflaive wines began, with the support of his brother Patrick and the oenologist Franck Grux. Thanks to the careful selection of producers, the skill of Grux and the foresight of Olivier who also opens a luxurious hotel in the family domaine, the company soon achieved fame in Burgundy, extending its possessions and arriving in 2001 in AOC Chablis. Leflaive currently owns several owned vineyards and over the years has taken on an important and recognized role in the most important AOCs in Burgundy, from Mersault to Puligny-Montrachet up to Chablis.
