Notte Rossa
Notte Rossa is a winery that was born in Salento, Puglia , and precisely in San Marzano. We are in the land of Primitivo di Manduria, whose name derives from the early ripening compared to other vines: the Primitivo is in fact harvested already in the second half of August and despite this, its ripeness as well as the quantity of sugars in the berries are perfect. A warm environment, low rainfall and very high temperature ranges, clayey soils, rich in iron oxides, with a fine texture and sparse rocky outcrops: all characteristics of a unique territory, such as Salento, which has always welcomed its grapes.
Red night red wine
Red wine has made Notte Rossa famous: Primitivo and Negroamaro are in fact the protagonists of the most awarded labels of this winery (with awards from Italian experts such as Luca Maroni and in international competitions such as Mundus Vini) and are born from the plots in the farms located further south. , areas of red earth, limestone and sand, where the old sapling plants have coexisted for decades with the shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub, caressed by the savory breezes that blow from the Ionian Sea. Thanks to these peculiar characteristics of the soil, the red wines of Notte Rossa are characterized by a marked natural minerality.
Red Night mainly produces single-variety red wines, with two happy exceptions, Bascià, born from the blend of the most representative red berried grapes of Salento harvested at a slight over-ripening, and Salice Salentino , a classic Salento blend made from 85% Negroamaro and 15% Malvasia Nera di Brindisi and aged in barrique. From the red berried grapes Notte Rossa also obtains delicate and versatile rosés, such as the tantalizing Negroamaro Rosato Salento PGI.

The latest addition to Notte Rossa, born in 2020, is Vermentino. A bet on a vine widespread in Italy from North to South, which in Salento expresses some of its typical varietal notes, such as the accentuated flavor, the delicate olfactory note of white petals, the persistent hints of Mediterranean scrub, but is enriched with a greater body and intensity.
