Nicosia
Established in 1898, the Nicosia company, a great protagonist of a rebirth of Sicilian enology, belongs to a typical Etnean family that has handed down its passion for wine for 5 generations, with a strong link with the territory and local culture . Since the twentieth century, the management has been entrusted to Carmelo Nicosia, who has infused his own innovative spirit aimed at the future, in a context of profound tradition. It currently pursues principles of sustainable viticulture in order to reduce the use of agropharmaceuticals and fertilizers as much as possible, adopting advanced precision viticulture techniques. The particular location of the vineyards, located on the eastern side of Etna, gives the wines particular characteristics of flavor and minerality.
