Nativ
Nativ is a farm located in Paternopoli, on the slopes of the Taurasi hills, in the heart of Irpinia. These lands, inhabited by the Greeks in the 7th century BC, gave birth to the "Hellenic vitis" from which the name Aglianico derives. Between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC these territories were baptized with the name of Paternopoli, by "Pater", clergymen who moved from the cities to isolated and peaceful places to practice meditation. During the Roman era, this part of Campania was nicknamed "Campania Felix" for the extraordinary fertility of the lands of volcanic origin, famous for the production of the "wines of the emperors". Today Irpinia is a land characterized by heterogeneous landscapes and different microclimates. The presence of Vesuvius and its past eruptions have influenced the subsoil, enriching it with volcanic and calcareous materials. The unique soil, combined with the Mediterranean climate influenced by strong thermal excursions, have made Irpinia a perfect terroir for the production of original and different wines. Nativ was born in Paternopoli in 2008, by the hand of Mario Ercolino and Roberta Pirone, with the aim of giving value and prestige to the typical vines of the area, through the production of excellent wines. The 15 hectares cultivated with native vines (NATIVE) on soils of volcanic origin are the maximum expression of territoriality. Nativ produces the typical wines of Irpinia: Fiano di Avellino , Greco di Tufo , Falanghina , Aglianico and Aglianico di Taurasi .
Nativ red wine
Those of Nativ are wines with a strong personality that are born with respect for tradition and terroir. On Vino.com you will find the best selection of Nativ red wine , such as the Rue dell'Incher IGT Campania, obtained from Aglianico grapes, a vine introduced in Campania during the Hellenic period. The name has a very original history, "rue" meant the streets of Paternopoli at the time of the French invasion and "ink" means the typical deep purple color of the wine. Another Nativ red wine that you cannot miss is the Rue 333 Taurasi DOCG, produced with Aglianico grapes and aged in barriques. Among the Nativ masterpieces there is also the Hermitage San Quirico Aglianico Campi Taurasini DOC, a red wine made from grapes grown on a volcanic soil in the hills of Taurasi. Its name, Eremo di San Quirico, is a remote place where the wild horses of Irpinia once grazed and where it is still possible to find the remains of the Hermitage today. It is a full-bodied, structured and enveloping red wine, which encloses the complexity of the Irpinia terroir. To conclude this interesting journey among Nativ wines, we cannot fail to recommend the extraordinary Suadens Rosso Campania IGT, a wine with a "persuasive" character obtained from a selection of the best Aglianico grapes and characterized by notes of tropical fruit, soft and velvety tannins.
