Matteo Correggia
Matteo Correggia is a company that was born from the will of its namesake founder, a true pioneer of the territory today very much in vogue in the Roero, but which at the time Matteo inherited the family farm in 1985, was an unknown territory and purely intended for other types of crops. Matteo chooses to focus on viticulture, planting new vineyards and thus constituting a real case in Roero: with the idea of creating great wines in mind, Matteo focuses on native varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Arneis, thanks to which it manages to land also overseas. Matteo Correggia also joins the Barolo Boys - to whom the explosion of the Barolo phenomenon is due - even though he is not a producer of Barolo, testifying to the importance that Matteo had in these lands. Today the company continues in the footsteps left by Matteo, carried on by his family, respectful of the work of a real precursor of the Roero terroir.
