Masi
The Masi winery takes its name from "Vaio dei Masi", the valley that was bought by the Boscaini family at the end of the nineteenth century. The history of Masi therefore starts from afar and has its roots in the most genuine and authentic Venetian tradition. The winery has been managed by the Boscaini family for seven generations, always keeping alive the passion for the Venetian wine world. Masi manages estates of great prestige both in the original area dedicated to the Valpolicella Classica and in the macro-region of the Venezie. The great merit of this winery has been to update itself year after year, to improve the quality of its bottles more and more, to confirm itself as a leading reality in the world of wine.
Masi: from Valpolicella to the conquest of the world.
In addition to the main estate, "Vaio dei Masi", the company boasts other jewels, such as the noble Serego Alighieri possessions, belonging to the direct descendants of the poet Dante and, in Trentino, the Bossi Fedrigotti Historical Estates (formerly 3 Bicchieri Gambero Rosso with the Fojaneghe 2012). Masi has also developed a wine-making project in Argentina, in the Mendoza region, precisely in the Tupungato valley at the foot of the volcano of the same name, where it has found perfect environmental and cultural conditions to welcome the grapes and winemaking techniques of the Venetian regions, in particular the withering of which it has a recognized expertise.
Red wine: the best of Masi
Masi is a leader in the production of red wine, and in particular of Amarone , obtained according to the ancient technique of drying the grapes, which rest on bamboo racks during the winter months to concentrate perfumes and aromas in the wine. The other crucial phase for the creation of an Amarone is the refinement, which Masi does respecting tradition and reinterpreting it in a modern key, thus rewriting the history of Amarone with Costasera, the Costasera Riserva version or Campofiorin, precursor of Ripasso. .
What is the most famous Amarone Masi?
The most famous and awarded Amarone Masi is undoubtedly the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Costasera, awarded by the international guides year after year.
