Livio Felluga
The story begins in 1956 when Livio Felluga, considered the "patriarch" of Friulian viticulture, founded the Brazzano winery and consecrated his love for the hills by purchasing, with happy intuition, the first vineyards in Rosazzo. A whole life dedicated to wine, under the banner of a full, absolute and also stubborn devotion to the land; that land that, with patience and determination, has been able to shape with a soft hand, without abuse and without violence, to obtain the best. Livio Felluga is today, in Friuli Venezia Giulia as in the rest of Italy, synonymous with great quality and a long tradition in the oenological field. It is a consolidated reality, made of love for the territory and respect for its history and its culture, which has lasted for 70 years and 5 generations.
Livio Felluga
Today the Livio Felluga company boasts a hilly extension in the Collio and in the Colli Orientali del Friuli of over 160 hectares of property, of which 155 are vineyards. From these plants only great wines with unmistakable perfumes and aromas: they are the wines of the "geographical map".
That label, with the mapping of "own hills", was invented in '56 by Livio Felluga, who determined the "geography" of his wine all over the world, with an ante litteram marketing idea that originates in the simple love for the land.
Livio Felluga white wine
The Livio Felluga company is famous above all for its white wine, and alongside the varietal white wines, which express their character with refinement, we find the elegance of Terre Alte, a skilful blend of Friulano , Pinot bianco and Sauvignon, and illivio that is born from a careful selection of Pinot Bianco grapes.
The gem that crowns the production of white wines is Picolit , a wine of great complexity, warm and mellow, which harmoniously combines sweet and sour sensations; a "meditation" wine, delicate and precious like its ancient gold color. However, there is no shortage of red wines, such as Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Merlot , which find their maximum expression in the Sossó cru reserve.
Which grapes does Livio Felluga Sharis come from?
Livio Felluga Sharis comes from Chardonnay and Ribolla grapes and for this reason it represents a sort of trait d'union between Friuli and the rest of the world. From a technical point of view, the combination of these varieties gives the wine balance and complexity, aromas and structure.
