Hendrick's
Gin Hendrick's is produced in the Girvan Distillery is a gin produced in small batches in the Ayrshire region of Scotland, distilled in ancient stills and characterized by an unusual blend, consisting of 11 botanical species, some classic but others absolutely extravagant for the category: yarrow, coriander, juniper, chamomile, cumin seeds, cubeb berries, elderflower, orange peel, lemon peel, angelica and iris root, damask rose petals and cucumber, an ingredient that made it the most famous . Hendrick's Gin has been produced since 1999 but was born a little earlier, thanks to a successful purchase of two ancient stills, in 1966. After years of experimentation Lesley Grace developed the recipe, creating a brand of absolute originality, destined to score for always the history of spirits. The brand is curated with the sole objective of focusing on a unique and authentic “Englishness”. Its taste is so elegant that in 2003 the Wall Street Journal named it the best gin in the world.
Gin Hendrick's
Gin Hendrick's has maintained its formula over time because, although today there are 10 hands working together in the gin palace under the direct supervision of Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, each batch is made in just 500 liters at a time to allow for the unique touch and the elegance of Lesley.
The peculiarity of this Gin is also in the distillation, as it is distilled not in one, but in two completely dissimilar types of stills, which manage to create an unusually soft gin like no other that has the required character and balance of subtle flavors. The two types of this particular set of stills are the Bennett, an ancient copper pot dating back to 1860, and the Carter-Head, from 1948 (a rare still of which only a few examples exist today).
Hendrick's
Gin Hendrick's is very versatile in cocktails thanks to its fresh and full taste. Ideal in Gin Tonic and Gin Mule, it can give satisfaction even in the wrong Garibaldi, and represents an excellent combination with the aromaticity of basil in the Gin Basilico Smash. Protagonist in the unusual cucumber lemonade, it is also ideal for classic cocktails such as Negroni , which is why it is the Gin that cannot be missing in the supply of a passionate bartender.
