Feudi del Pisciotto
Sicily is a region that, from a wine-making point of view, is experiencing a particularly happy moment. A flashback could be said, given that historically this land has been defined "Enotria", precisely because of the virtues found in the wines produced here. An oenological renaissance that attracted the attention of the Domini Castellare di Castellina group, a reality that, thanks to the experience gained in the estates in Tuscany, decided to expand its boundaries, giving life to the Feudi del Pisciotto winery. We are located in south-eastern Sicily, a few kilometers away from Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone and Vittoria. A magical triangle, where the 44 hectares of vineyards develop which, thanks to the proximity to the sea, are affected by pleasant brackish breezes. Among the rows, the right importance is given to native vines, primarily Nero d'Avola and Frappato, without neglecting some international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Nero, flanked by Sémillon and Gewürztraminer, intended for the production of a passito a nothing short of exceptional.
In the vineyard as well as in the cellar, the operations are followed by the watchful eye of Alessandro Cellai, oenologist and director of the cellar who can avail himself, in key moments of production, under the supervision of Giacomo Tachis, a world-famous figure. "Missoni", "Versace" and "Giambattista Valli" are just some of the names of the wines that the winery dedicates to the great Italian stylists, in a crescendo of emotions and sensations that aims to celebrate "made in Italy" with absolute quality, as evidenced the different prizes awarded to many of the Feudi del Pisciotto labels.
