Fattoria Ambra
The Ambra Farm is located near the Ombrone River, in Carmignano in Tuscany. Its name originates from the poem Ambra , written in the fifteenth century by Lorenzo Il Magnifico, who commissioned the construction of the Medici Villa of Poggio a Caiano, right in the area where the farm stands. The vineyards are located in four of the most renowned crus in the Carmignano area: the hill of Montalbiolo, Elzana, Santa Cristina in Pilli and Montefortini, next to the Etruscan tombs of the same name. Here high quality wines are produced, including Carmignano, known and appreciated since the 13th century and the first DOC wine in the world.
