Donna Olimpia
The Donna Olimpia winery takes its name from Olimpia Alliata, Lady of Biserno and wife of Gherardo della Gherardesca, who gave the estate its name in 1898 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their marriage. The company was born from an intuition of Guido Folonari, heir to one of the historic Italian wine families, who in the first months of 2001 decided to develop an ambitious wine project. The winery is located in the heart of the Maremma, between Bibbona and Castagneto, in the heart of the extraordinary territory of Bolgheri, in the province of Livorno. Donna Olimpia's philosophy is based on excellence, product quality, the constant search for improvement, the typicality of a product linked to a clearly identifiable territory.
